Builds

Aldrachi Reaver
Single Target
General Gameplay
AR has lost a lot of its complexities with the Reaver's Glaive usage and soul generation after the changes in pre-patch. Pooling and spending souls and glaives is no longer as critical in maximizing your damage. You'll just want to make sure you're throwing your next Reaver's Glaive within 30 seconds of procing Thrill of the Fight.
Opener
Your opener is just getting all of your cooldowns rolling, it'll go like this:
- Immolation Aura pre-pull
- Pot/trinket
- The Hunt into the boss
- Reaver's Glaive
- Eye Beam
- Essence Break
- Death Sweep
- Annihilation
- Death Sweep
- Vengeful Retreat and cancel with Metamorphosis
- Death Sweep
- Eye Beam
Rotation
Your general rotation will be pushing your abilities on cooldown. A few things to keep in mind as you're playing this build:
- Use VR on cooldown to maintain Exergy uptime. If you won't drop Exergy, you can delay a bit to line up with Eye Beam
- The Hunt on cooldown to maintain Exergy and generate a free Reaver's Glaive. NEVER use The Hunt if you currently have a Reaver's Glaive, as you'll miss out on the free one.
- Death Sweep/Blade Dance on cooldown
- Use Reaver's Glaive as a higher priority than Annihilation/Chaos Strike, as long as you won't munch any Rending Strike or Glaive Flurry procs.
- Send Essence Break on cooldown, unless Eye Beam will be up within 6 seconds, then hold for your meta window.
- If you're out of fury, press Felblade over Immolation Aura to generate.
- Every 2 minutes you'll perform the opener again
Priority List
If your brain works better with priority lists, here it is:
- The Hunt as long as you do not currently have a Reaver's Glaive.
- VR when Eye Beam is about to come up
- Reaver's Glaive as long as you won't waste a Rending Strike or Glaive Flurry proc
- Annihilation if Rending Strike is up and Glaive Flurry is down and the target has less than two stacks of Reaver's Mark
- Death Sweep if Essence Break is on the target
- Eye Beam
- Essence Break if Eye Beam is on cooldown for more than 6 seconds
- Death Sweep/Blade Dance
- Annihilation/Chaos Strike
- Felblade
- Immolation Aura
Adds
If adds are coming soon, make sure to save a Reaver's Glaive for them. Ensure your Reaver's Mark is on the priority target (usually the boss), then use your empowered Blade Dance on the adds for large Fury of the Aldrachi damage into large Wounded Quarry funnel. It will look something like this:
- Reaver's Glaive
- Chaos Strike the boss to apply Reaver's Mark
- Vengeful Retreat
- Eye Beam adds
- Double Death Sweep
Reaver's Glaive usage
First of all, I highly recommend reading about reaver's glaive on the spell interactions page which details some of its intricacies. You should always have at least one stack of Reaver's Mark on the boss to increase your damage and soul generation. You should always have a glaive for any add sets that spawn in order to hit them with an empowered Fury of the Aldrachi, which will do a lot of funnel to the boss from Wounded Quarry. You should also try to have one glaive ready for your Eye Beam windows as well, especially ones empowered with The Hunt.
Talent Options
You can freely swap Burn it Out / Soul Cleanse as needed, as well as Master of the Glaive / Champion of the Glaive.

We're still playing around our Fury of the Aldrachi damage to maximize our funnel through Wounded Quarry. To do this, we'll want to always empower our Blade Dance second.
Opener
Openers in M+ aren't really a thing since cooldowns will always be rolling from pack to pack. When going into a new pack, you should always keep one Reaver's Glaive available to start by marking the priority target in the new pack. Your 'opener' will look like this:
- Immolation Aura on your way to the pack for fury
- Reaver's Glaive the pack (after your tank has aggro please)
- The Hunt
- Chaos Strike the priority or highest health target
- Eye Beam
- Essence Break
- Double Death Sweep
Afterwards, you continue with your normal rotation. This 'opener' will also be what your 20 second burst window looks like.
Opener with Meta
If it's the first pull and you truly have everything available, your opener will be:
- Immolation Aura on your way to the pack for fury
- The Hunt
- Pot/trinket
- Reaver's Glaive
- Chaos Strike the priority or highest health target
- Eye Beam
- Essence Break
- Double Death Sweep
- Vengeful Retreat and cancel with Metamorphosis
- Death Sweep
- Eye Beam
Rotation
You'll keep The Hunt on cooldown, which gives a full Reaver's Glaive as well as 1 soul with Broken Spirit. Similarly, you'll be casting Blade Dance on cooldown.
Reaver's Glaive Usage
In M+, generally you'll have a lot of souls and can pool them for difficult packs. You can read more about pooling glaives in the spell interactions page. You will always want to empower Blade Dance second for the buffed up Fury of the Aldrachi. Additionally, you will want to VR before your empowered Blade Dance to increase its crit chance due to initiative.
Meta Usage
We pretty much want to cast Metamorphosis on cooldown. You should ensure that both Blade Dance and Eye Beam are on cooldown first before casting since they're reset from Chaotic Transformation.
Talent Options
You can freely swap Burn it Out / Soul Cleanse as needed, as well as Master of the Glaive / Champion of the Glaive. Pitch Black is also a flex point, you can swap into Demon Muzzle for more magic DR after a kick or Focused Ire if you'd like a longer stun on your primary target.

Fel-Scarred
Single Target
General Gameplay
This build relies around utilizing your Demonsurge and not munching procs.
Opener
- Immolation Aura twice pre-pull, starting at 3 seconds
- Pot and use trinket
- Felblade if needed for fury
- Eye Beam
- The Hunt
- Essence Break
- Death Sweep (Demonsurge proc)
- Death Sweep
- Annihilation (Demonsurge proc)
- Vengeful Retreat and cancel with Metamorphosis
- Death Sweep (Demonsurge proc)
- Consuming Fire (Demonsurge proc)
- Annihilation (Demonsurge proc)
- Abyssal Gaze (buffed by Eternal Hunt)
- Annihilation until Death Sweep is up
- Double Death Sweep
Rotation
The rotation is pretty simple - keep your cooldowns on cooldown and don't munch any procs. Line up The Hunt with your Eye Beam windows and use Death Sweep/Blade Dance as they come off cooldown. Immolation Aura is a higher priority fury generator than Felblade. If you're out of everything, you can Fel Rush while waiting for fury.
Priorities
- Vengeful Retreat on cooldown. You can hold this for a few seconds to line up with your burst window if needed, but it should line up naturally if you're using it on cooldown. Always use on cooldown while in meta.
- The Hunt on cooldown, preferring to buff your Abyssal Gaze with Eternal Hunt every 2 minutes and Eye Beam otherwise.
- Use Essence Break on cooldown, unless Eye Beam is coming up within 6 seconds, then hold to line them up.
- Execute your Eye Beam burst windows
- Death Sweep/Blade Dance on cooldown
- Avoid overcapping Immolation Aura charges
- Fill with Annihilation/Chaos Strike
- Immolation Aura > Felblade to generate fury
- Throw Glaive or Fel Rush if you have nothing else to press
20 Second Burst
- Vengeful Retreat to proc Initiative the global before Eye Beam comes up
- Eye Beam
- Essence Break if available
- Death Sweep
- Death Sweep
- Annihilation spam
If Eye Beam and Vengeful Retreat are de-synced, hold Vengeful Retreat a few seconds for Eye Beam.
Talent Options
You can freely swap Burn it Out / Soul Cleanse as needed, as well as Master of the Glaive / Champion of the Glaive.
Mythic+
General Gameplay
Just like with other AFI builds, you'll want to focus on never overcapping Immolation Aura charges. Otherwise, you'll pretty much be using your cooldowns on cooldown and spend all of your Demonsurge procs.
Opener
Openers in M+ aren't really a thing since cooldowns will always be rolling from pack to pack, but if you want one to follow here it is:
- Felblade into the pack for fury if needed
- Throw Glaive to apply Burning Wound.
- Immolation Aura down to 0 charges
- Eye Beam
- The Hunt
- Essence Break
- Double Death Sweep (Demonsurge proc on the first one)
- Annihilation (Demonsurge proc)
- Vengeful Retreat and cancel with Metamorphosis
- Death Sweep (Demonsurge proc)
- Consuming Fire until out of charges (first one using a Demonsurge proc)
- Annihilation (Demonsurge proc)
- Abyssal Gaze (buffed by Eternal Hunt and Inertia, also using a Demonsurge proc)
- Annihilation (Demonsurge proc) until Death Sweep is up
- Double Death Sweep (Demonsurge proc on the first one)
Rotation
For our rotation, you're just casting Immolation Aura to never cap on charges and ensuring you hit as many mobs as you can with the initial hit and the final Ragefire burst. You're also casting The Hunt and Blade Dance on cooldown, while lining up The Hunt with your next burst window. You have mini-burst every 20 seconds. You'll mostly use Essence Break on cooldown, but can hold for Eye Beam if it will be up within 6 seconds.
20 Second Burst
- Vengeful Retreat to proc Initiative the global before Eye Beam comes up
- Eye Beam
- Essence Break if available
- Double Death Sweep
- Annihilation
1 Minute Burst
- The Hunt
- Vengeful Retreat to proc Initiative the global before Eye Beam
- Eye Beam
- Essence Break if available
- Double Death Sweep
- Annihilation
Meta Usage
We pretty much want to cast Metamorphosis on cooldown, following a similar order as in your opener to ensure you get every spell reset.
